We love our Flint Hill Staff! 

Here are just a few ways the PTA Staff Appreciation Committee shows our appreciation and thanks!  Below are some great examples of how we thank our teachers and staff when we're together in our school building.  Don't fret! Our awesome Teacher Appreciation chairs have amazing ideas up their sleeves for our virtual start to the 2020/2021 school year.  

Staff Lunches

These occur monthly and are hosted by each grade level.  Keep an eye out for a signup genius from your classroom room parent, this is such a great way to show your support and appreciation for all of our hardworking teachers and staff!

Teacher Appreciation Week, 2018-19

 For Teacher Appreciation Week, the Staff Appreciation Committee plans school-wide events to show our teachers and staff how grateful we are for all of their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the year.  For example, in 2018-19, the PTA held a gift card raffle, hosted breakfast, passed out cookie treats,  held a luncheon from the Italian Gourmet and held a smoothie and dessert bar.  Room parents decorated the doors of teachers classrooms, while students decorated the school steps with chalk and also filled out star notes to show their appreciation and gratitude. 

Holiday Cookie Carry

Cookie Carry, 2018-19

This is a December event.  Room parents will send out a signup genius to ask for cookies and other baked goods for the teachers.  Teachers have an opportunity to fill a container and take a variety of baked goods home to enjoy.    This is a fun way to show your appreciation, and, as you can see above, also a great way to show off your baking creativity! 

 Staff of the month

In an effort to recognize all teachers at school, the Staff Appreciation Committee chose certain specialists and non-classroom teacher faculty to send a treat to each month of the 2018-19 school year. For the image below, they recognized our Music and P.E. teachers!

A “room service” request was placed on these staff members' doors and treats were delivered the following Friday on behalf of the PTA.

School bus safety week & bus driver appreciation week

During this week the PTA treats our bus drivers, crossing guards, and patrols to show them our appreciation for helping to keep our children safe.
